Missouri University of Science and Technology integrates education, research and application to create and convey knowledge that helps solve the world’s great challenges.

Why We Joined KEEN
A core part of the mission of our engineering college is to offer a transformative education for our students. To do this, we must develop educational experiences that prepare students to make a positive impact on society. Infusing KEEN principles into our courses will help us provide this kind of transformational education.

Vision
Our vision is that Missouri S&T will be the leading public technological research university for discovery, creativity and innovation. We will cultivate curiosity, creativity and confidence in our graduates. We will be the institution of choice for partners around the world seeking a highly qualified, talented and entrepreneurial workforce, innovative research, relevant educational programs, products and services, and technology and ideas to solve the great challenges of our time.

Our aim is to foster an entrepreneurial mindset in all of our engineering students. This mindset, coupled with strong technical skills, is the key to preparing students to have a real societal impact and become leaders in their professions. We provide students with an unmatched quality and breadth of expertise and opportunities. This allows us to pioneer new degree programs that will meet future workforce needs and develop a sharp focus on research dedicated to addressing grand societal challenges and serving the public good.
A truly transformative engineering education goes beyond preparing students with strong technical skills. We need to ensure students also develop an entrepreneurial mindset so they can recognize opportunities, create value, become leaders and shape the future.
