With a new program, you have a unique opportunity to develop a program that instills your students with an entrepreneurial mindset. It is much harder to make this transformation after your program is up and running. Join the Entrepreneurially Minded Engineering Resource Group for Educators (EMERGE) for tools, community, and strategies to integrate the entrepreneurial mindset into your program right from the start!
EMERGE offers a unique network of expertise and support including:
Who should join?
We recommend institutions participate in teams of at least two people (faculty, staff or administrators) who are engaged in the development of their undergraduate engineering program. However, individuals can still find EMERGE to be a useful experience and are welcome to participate. If you are interested in joining, please contact us at EMERGE@unc.edu. You'll be added to our mailing list and will receive monthly announcements about EMERGE gatherings and other opportunities.
EMERGE is led by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in collaboration with the Olin College of Engineering. Currently more than 100 members representing 60 institutions are involved in EMERGE.
Richard Goldberg, Teaching Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies, UNC at Chapel Hill.
Robert Martello, Professor of the History of Science and Technology, Olin College of Engineering.
Jessica Townsend, Professor of Engineering, Olin College of Engineering.
